On December 7, 2022, a meeting took place at the headquarters of the National Union of Labor-Productive Cooperatives (NUTPC) in Sofia. The meeting involved the leadership of the Sofia organization of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP)—represented by Chairman Ivan Takov and Deputy Chairman Ivan Peshev—and the Sofia City Union of Labor-Productive Cooperatives. The latter was represented by its Chairman, Assoc. Prof. Vladislav Lazarov, D.Sc.; the Chairman of the Control Council, Georgi Milchev; Board Member Eng. Dimitrinka Dimitrova; Control Council Member Adrian Georgiev; and Diana Gocheva, manager of a cooperative enterprise.

Ivan Takov and Assoc. Prof. Vladislav Lazarov, D.Sc., discussed current social policy issues relevant to Sofia. The conversation focused on the nature of cooperatives as entities within the social economy and their role in social entrepreneurship, job creation, and the rehabilitation of specific social groups. They also addressed participation in projects aimed at ensuring accessibility and appropriate working conditions for people with disabilities.

A consensus was reached on the need to outline concrete measures for interaction and cooperation between the organizations regarding social policy in the capital. Furthermore, they agreed to pursue initiatives for legislative changes at the national level, with the goal of establishing a more favorable regulatory framework for enterprises within the social and solidarity economy. Ivan Takov and Ivan Peshev also visited the sewing workshop of the "D. Blagoev" Labor-Producer Cooperative (TPK), located within the building; subsequently, they met and held discussions with Bozhidar Stanchev, Chairman of the Cooperative’s Managing Board. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of cooperation for the upcoming year, 2023.
