The National Council of Industrial Producer Cooperatives held instructional meetings in Sofia and across the country. In February, a series of consultative meetings were held with the local organizations of the National Union of Labor-Productive Cooperatives (NSTPC). During these meetings, representatives from the NSTPC leadership, along with chairpersons of local unions and cooperatives, discussed upcoming initiatives marking the 130th anniversary of the founding of the first labor-productive cooperative, as well as the International Year of Cooperatives. Participants also addressed the challenges currently facing enterprises within the system in early 2025 and the need for joint action to resolve them.

The series of meetings began with the Sofia City Union of Labor-Productive Cooperatives, where Enyo Savov, a municipal councilor from the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), attended as an official guest. He expressed his commitment to the cooperative cause and his support for strengthening cooperation with the Sofia Municipality.

The Union’s leadership also held meetings with the local unions in Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo, Pazardzhik, Haskovo, Sliven and Yambol, Burgas, Varna, and Blagoevgrad.

The "Neofit Rilski" South-West University hosted the meeting in Blagoevgrad. Temenuzhka Zlatanova and Aleksandar Palaupov from the Regional Center for Social Economy – Blagoevgrad joined the conversation to share useful information regarding current initiatives and programs of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy—an established partner of the National Union of Worker-Producer Cooperatives (NUWPC).

Discussions held during these consultative meetings provide an opportunity to coordinate joint actions at both the national and local levels, and to define the development path for cooperative organizations.
